Course Description

This course will provide the pharmacist with the skills and knowledge to appropriately manage patients with diabetes. Participants will be able to provide evidence-based recommendations for medication management of diabetes and its related complications and co- morbidities. Up to date in depth information on guidelines and medications will be covered. Practical information on how to assist patients with glucose meter selection and use will be provided in a hands-on workshop. You’ll have the opportunity to utilize the information covered in the course in case studies reflecting common patient situations. Counseling points on diabetes, nonpharmacologic therapy and medications will be incorporated. Pharmacists in any practice setting will benefit from this comprehensive and practical review course to help you improve medical care for patients with diabetes. This course will meet the South Carolina requirement for 6 hrs. of Live CE for renewing your pharmacist license

Credits

This program is accredited for 6 hours (0.60 CEUs) of Live CE Credit for pharmacists. You must attend the entire program and submit a completed Activity Evaluation Form to receive CE credit. Gateway International, LLC will mail Statement of CE credit to participants within 2 weeks following the completion of the Evaluation Form.
