Hormone Replacement Therapy; a patient-specific and focused approach
Course Description
Hormone Replacement Therapy presents itself with some degree of controversy and clinical challenge. The controversy lies in the fact that much of clinical research on the subject is shrouded in unsubstantiated claims. The challenge is in deciphering that which is real and fiction. Further controversy lies in the existence of overly diverse practice parameters. This leaves the practicing professional, physician and pharmacist alike, with the dilemma of attempting to establish a clear and concise clinical practice guideline for conditions associated with hormonal imbalance and deficiencies.
This program affords the participant the opportunity to assess the positive and negative therapeutic outcome measures of patient-specific hormone replacement therapies as currently observed. The participant will realize the benefits and challenges of a patient-specific approach to the treatment of diseases, illnesses, syndromes, pathologies, and quality of life issues associated with hormonal imbalances and deficiencies for the male and female patient.
